How do I register "My Wedding" so that guests can donate to the OHS?
Click on the blue "Register" button or the green "Register Now" button on the homepage. On the next page select "Register My Wedding" and then click continue. You will then be guided through a registration process which will ask you to fill out a form with your personal information and create a username/password for your Participant Centre. Your Participant Centre is where you will customize your personal fundraising page. Once your registration is complete you will receive an email confirmation. Your email confirmation will include your username/password so that you can log into your Participant Centre and begin personalizing your page.

How can friends and family make a donation to "My Wedding"?
Friends and family can locate a wedding by clicking on the blue "Donate" button or the green "Donate Now" button on the homepage. They will then be taken to a page where they can click "Individual" or "Event" - they should click on "Individual" and type in the name of the bride or groom they wish to donate to. Once entering the name into the text box, they can simply click the blue magnifying glass and they will be directed to the bride/groom's personal fundraising page.

I would like to donate to the OHS in lieu of wedding favours?
Thank you for choosing to support the animals on your big day! To make your donation, please click on the blue "Donate" button or the green "Donate Now" button on the homepage. You will then be taken to a page where you can click on "Individual" or "Event" - you should click "Event" and type in the amount of your donation. Once you click continue, you will be brought to a check-out page to enter the rest of your information to complete your donation.

Why can't I find a wedding that I know has been registered?
You must spell the bride or groom's name correctly. It is not case sensitive. If the bride's name does not work, try the groom's name. If you have a problem locating a wedding that you are sure has been registered, please contact us at events@ottawahumane.ca and we will be happy to help you.

How does Ottawa Humane Society utilize donations?
Your contributions help us provide life-saving medical treatment and necessary care to the animals at the OHS.

I do not remember my username and password
Click "Login" on the homepage. At the bottom of the next page you will see a section titled "Forgot Username or Password". Here you will enter your email address (it must be the same email you registered with). Once you've entered your email address, click "Submit" and you will be guided through the process.

How can I see who has donated to me?
You can view your donor list and the amounts that have been donated by logging into your Participant Centre.

All of my donors are not showing up on the scroll mechanism. Why?
As your donors make a contribution, they have the option of whether or not they want to appear in the recognition scroll.

How secure is my information?
Every effort has been made to protect your information. Industry standard SSL encryption techniques are used to ensure your credit card information, passwords and personal information travel securely into our database. Our database server also has an encryption engine to protect your information.

Will akaRaisin put my name on various mailing lists?
akaRaisin and the Ottawa Humane Society collects and maintains only personal information that is voluntarily submitted to us. We will never share personally identifiable information with a third party.
